Big Screen, Fast Chip, Lots of RAM

So, OPPO is apparently getting ready to launch the Pad 5 in China later this year. It’s the next one after the Pad 3. From what’s leaked, it looks like a pretty solid upgrade. First thing you’ll notice: the screen. 12.1 inches, 3K+ resolution, and 144Hz refresh rate. Scrolling, games, even videos—should all feel super smooth. Oh, and by the way, it’s expected to keep DC Dimming, TÜV certification, and you can still use a stylus.

Inside, the tablet should have the Dimensity 9400+ processor, which is a step up from the Dimensity 8350 in the Pad 3. The GPU is Immortalis-G925, and RAM could be 8, 12, or even 16GB. Storage might go up to 512GB, which is plenty if you download lots of apps or videos. It’s running Android 16 with ColorOS 16, so the software should feel pretty smooth too.

Cameras are nothing crazy. 8MP rear camera, 8MP front camera. Enough for video calls or snapping a quick pic. Audio comes through USB Type-C, and it’ll have Hi-Res certification. Connectivity should be solid: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and even 5G sharing.

Battery is massive. Around 10,300mAh, with 67W SuperVOOC charging, so yeah, you can pretty much use it all day and top it up fast. It weighs about 579 grams, so not super light, but okay for a big tablet.

Rumored colors are purple, silver, and gray. Some leaks say it might even come as the OnePlus Pad 2, since the Pad 3 launched under OnePlus. It could launch alongside the OPPO Find X9 series in China this October.

So yeah, the OPPO Pad 5 looks like a solid upgrade. Big, fast, smooth, and powerful enough for work, games, or sketching. If you want a big tablet that does a lot, this could be worth checking out.
