Since Lady Liberty was booked and busy on Saturday afternoon, Alice + Olivia created the next best thing: a 20-foot-tall floral gown draped over the entrance to its Spring 2026 presentation worn by a model mirroring the Statue of Liberty’s iconic pose. In celebration of the United States’s upcoming 250th birthday next year, the brand’s Creative Director Stacey Bendet paid homage to “The American Woman.”
Alice + Olivia transformed New York City’s Hall of Records into an explosion of Americana, with vignettes spotlighting preppy sportswear, Gilded-era gowns and NYC-inspired backdrops, complete with larger-than-life chicken nuggets and French fries (because what’s more American than a Happy Meal?). The collection’s sportswear set includes rugby shirts and plenty of stripes in shades of green, blue and red, while the Gilded era one boasts an elaborate floral ballgown, an ornate yellow mini dress and a light blue lace midi.
Tied together by a common thread of promoting “unity,” the 45-look lineup also features collage-like prints of Americana motifs; sleek, minimalist eveningwear; and bursts of floral patterns. “Fashion is meant to unite women,” Bendet told Fashionista at the presentation. “It’s meant to inspire women, and it’s meant to bring women together.”
Alice + Olivia’s garments are bold by nature, but the magic happens once you get up close: Bendet called attention specifically to the collection’s intricate embroidery and detailed beading, which add a touch of texture and dimension.
