“Whenever we can incorporate the hand it’s a delight,” says Laura Evans, who founded this AD PRO Directory firm with Karie Reinertson in 2022. Neither studied interior design—Evans has a degree in landscape architecture, Reinertson a background in studio art and textiles. But they bonded over their love of craft, now a hallmark of their work. On the docket are a Japanese restaurant in Charlotte and homes from Cape Cod to California. No matter the setting, their emphasis on making keeps them connected to community, as when their trusted quilter, up against deadline, called in her mom for help. “That’s deep mother energy right there,” quips Reinertson.
