Alexa, when is the next Amazon Prime Day? This fall, the Prime Big Deal Days will run between October 7 and October 8. The sale will officially kick off at midnight PST and will extend for a full 48 hours, so you can check everything off your shopping list. The last time Amazon hosted a major retailer-specific sales event was in July. This past summer, the Amazon Prime Day event spanned an unprecedented four full days. Both events are known for offering promotions that rival the deals during Black Friday and Cyber Monday in November.
How Does Amazon Prime Day Work?
A Prime membership is required to take advantage of all these deals. Luckily, it is very easy to become an Amazon Prime member. You can test out a free 30-day trial, and after that, your subscription nets out to $15 per month or $139 per year to take advantage of fast free delivery, Prime Video (for an additional $9 per month), and all the other benefits the mega retailer offers.
Are Other Retailers Offering Discounts During Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon won’t likely be the only retailer to host a mega sales event during the fall months. In years past, we’ve seen the likes of Walmart, Brooklinen, Home Depot, Target, and Best Buy get in on the action with furniture deals and sales on trending items such as Samsung smart TVs, Dyson cordless vacuums, robot vacuums, and kitchen essentials like crock-pots and KitchenAid mixers.
What Are the Best Deals During Amazon Prime Big Deals Day?
In our opinion, you should place your Prime Day bets on a few select categories. If you’re looking for great deals on air purifiers, stick vacuum cleaners, or the lowest prices on home tech (like a new laptop, phone charger, or Amazon device), the shopping event is a notoriously good time to snag deals on smart home gadgets. It’s also a great time to find discounted kitchen items—usually there are a few Vitamix, Kitchenaid, and Ninja deals to go around—as well as good prices on household essentials like bath towels, sheet sets, comfy patio furniture, and cleaning supplies.

Unfortunately, yes. While many products remain in stock throughout the sale, others either sell out or the sale period ends fairly quickly.
