Xbox PC Update Adds Unified Library, My Apps Tab, and Cross-Device Sync!

Microsoft is rolling out a new update for the Xbox app on Windows PCs and handheld devices. The changes aren’t flashy, but they’re the kind of small improvements that make everyday use smoother.

A Library That Actually Feels Like One

The biggest change is an aggregated library. Instead of opening one app for Xbox titles, another for Game Pass, and maybe something else for Battle.net, everything now shows up in one list. For players with big collections spread across services, this cuts down the hassle.

Installed games land straight in My Library and also appear in the Most Recent section. It’s a small thing, but it saves time when you just want to get back into whatever you played last night.

Making the Library Your Own

Not everyone wants to see every service at once, so Microsoft added a bit of flexibility. In settings, you can turn storefronts on or off. Maybe you only care about Game Pass this month, or maybe you want to keep the view as clean as possible. A couple of clicks and the list looks the way you prefer.

A Place for Apps Too

The update also adds a new My Apps tab. Here, third-party apps and storefronts can sit side by side, so you don’t need to shuffle through desktop shortcuts or separate launchers. It’s not groundbreaking, but it makes the app more of a central hub for PC gaming.

Picking Up Where You Left Off

Later in September, Xbox will enable cross-device cloud sync. This is where the update feels forward-looking. Cloud-ready games and your play history will follow you between console, PC, and handheld devices. There’s even a cloud playable filter in the library to show which titles work, plus a Jump Back In list on the Home screen that makes resuming easier.

Available Now, With More Coming

The aggregated library is live today. The cross-device sync features will start rolling out before the end of the month. None of these updates are dramatic, but together they show Microsoft is listening to feedback and trying to make Xbox on PC and handhelds a little more user-friendly.
