Xiaomi’s next flagship smartphone lineup will be called Xiaomi 17 series and will be unveiled later this month. The company also revealed that the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will feature a secondary display at the back.
The Xiaomi 17 series will be equipped with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which is set to be unveiled on September 23. Notably, the Xiaomi 17 Pro has now been listed on benchmarking website Geekbench with the unreleased chipset.
According to the Geekbench listing, a Xiaomi device with the model number 25098PN5AC, believed to be the 17 Pro, will feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC paired with 16GB of RAM. The phone is listed to run Android 16, likely the new HyperOS 3 that should be released alongside the Xiaomi 17 series.
The upcoming Snapdragon chipset is listed with two Oryon cores clocked at 4.61 GHz and six cores at 3.63 GHz. The Xiaomi 17 Pro scored 3,096 points in the single-core test, and 9,382 in the multi-core tests. As always, best to take the Geekbench listing and the results with a pinch of salt.
